Glen Oaks Elopement with Jessica and Gavin

Jessica and Gavin eloped at Glen Oaks in Big Sur this week! They decided to include their closest family in their day. Jessica’s mom helped her get ready, hiking boots and all in their Big Sur cabin. Jessica and Gavin chose me for 8 hour elopement day experience, which allowed for so much flexibility in their day. When one beach was too windy we took a pit stop at the river inn for some snacks and drinks before their ceremony farther down the coast. From the sweetest first look with Jessica and her dad to a mountain picnic set up by the amazing Forage Vintage rentals, followed by Gavin serenading Jessica I couldn’t imagine a more perfect day. Thank you Gavin and Jessica you truly are a dream couple!!

A little bit about Jessica and Gavin in their own words:

When did you know your partner was THE one?

We took a trip to Vancouver in 2009 and a lot of emotions unfolded. Prior to this trip, we were best friends but in exploring a new city we knew there was more. But when we reconnected in 2019 for Gavin’s birthday and all of the feelings came back and we were both ready to settle down!

Why did you decide to elope?

Although Coronavirus does play a role, this type of wedding is honestly our dream wedding. Being present and focused on one another as opposed to managing a large group of people sounds exactly like what we dreamed of in our mind’s eye. After seeing your photos in Big Sur we knew we had to do it!

Why did you choose Big Sur, have you been here before?

We had a Beautiful picnic on Pfeiffer beach last year. We also became an “official” couple in Carmel on Jesse’s Birthday in 2019.
