How to include your family on your elopement day.

Come from a traditional family and scared to break the news that you want to elope?! I’m here to help.

  1. Surprise them AFTER you elope with a fun dinner and a slide show of your photos!

2. Split up your day! Have a sunrise adventure with an evening sunset ceremony among family and friends.

3. Spread it out over two days. Have one afternoon to celebrate and party with family and friends in a relatively clean dress, then adventure the day after with a session just for you two. Save some private vows to share in an intimate location, pack a lunch, and experience something new together.

4. Ask family and friends to write you letters to read to each other during your picnic, or have your officiant include the letters in your ceremony.

5. invite family and friends to help you get ready and see you off before your adventure, ask to borrow some family heirlooms to be included in your day.

6. Facetime or Zoom them in on your ceremony or parts of your day.
