Big Sur Photographer // Big Sur Family Photos with the Layrisson Family

The Layrisson Family was traveling from Louisiana to Carmel California for the first time as a family of four and wanted to capture their time while on vacation here. It’s often hard for families to decide on locations in Big Sur as a lot of the places I bring couples are not safe for kiddos so I was so happy when Brandi found a photo of mine she loved from this beach! She was able to connect with my go-to favorite makeup artist Katrina and she showed up with her beautiful family looking so well put together. Brandi did such a good job of coordinating their outfits without having too much of one color or matching. I give a style guide for families to consider when booking a session with me but I always want my families to feel comfortable and like themselves. The day of the Layrisson family shoot I had just gotten back from Utah and Colorado with my own family and the moment I smelled the salty air I was so happy to be home!! It’s always so nice to get away and even better to come back home.
