Big Sur, California Coast Beach Proposal
Avi first contacted me when he graduated from dental school in NY. He had the ultimate surprise up his sleeve. He planned to propose to Neha his high school sweetheart during an upcoming road trip up the Big Sur, Hwy 1 coast. Neha is the planner in the relationship and is rarely surprised, we worked hard to maintain the illusion of a romantic dinner and walk. I stood by a bush on a cliff pretending to take photos of the nearby rabbits when they approached the designated Big Sur to overlook! I got to capture her saying yes! It was such a pleasure to meet this sweet couple and capture memories they will share with their children & grandchildren one day.

I’m a Super 8mm lover. There is nothing like those flickering frames and overscan vibes. I own a Braun Nizo that I've used for personal and wedding work. But man, $200 per roll is tough. So to say I've been waiting for something like the Fuji Instax Mini Evo Cinema is an understatement. I’ll be comparing the mini Instax Mimi cinema, the camp snap, and my traditional Braun Nizo. Disclaimer: nothing is beating the original, but we are using it for comparison. I will be updating this blog as I use the camera more, but I wanted to get my initial impressions up and out to you.
